Wisconsin Roof Repair · On The Roof

Not every roof needs to be replaced. We have been doing roof repair across the Midwest for over 60 years. We know how to find the real problem fast. We know how to fix it for good.

A repair is almost always cheaper than a full replacement. If your roof has good life left in it, we will tell you. We do not push replacements you do not need.

What We Fix

Common Repairs We Handle

Leaks

We track the leak to its source. Leaks often start far from the spot where water shows up inside.

Missing or Cracked Shingles

We swap out the bad shingles. We match the color as closely as we can.

Flashing

Bad flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights causes most leaks. We replace it.

Storm Damage

Hail and wind both leave marks. We document everything for your insurance company.

Repair or Replace

How to Tell the Difference

A repair saves money when the roof has years left.

Age matters. If your roof is under 15 years old, a repair is often the right call. If it is older, a full replacement may save you money over time.

Scope matters too. A small leak or a few missing shingles is a quick fix. Wide damage across many slopes is harder to patch and may point to a new roof.

Budget plays a part. We give you both options in writing. You decide what works for your home and your wallet. We will never push a job you do not need.

Seth and Johnny came at the scheduled time to inspect our roof for a possible leak. Seth installed the roof about 4 years ago. They checked the roof and went into the attic. They found a small leak from the plumbing stack. They kindly recommended us to call a plumber. Margaret Knott · Roof Repair Inspection
Repair, Don't Always Replace

When Roof Repair Saves You Real Money

Most roofs in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota have years of life left even after a leak shows up. A bad flashing around a chimney does not mean the whole roof is shot. A few wind torn shingles do not mean it is time to tear off and start over. A smart roof repair often buys you another decade for a small fraction of replacement cost. The trick is knowing the difference, and that takes a trained eye.

We use a simple decision tree. If the damage is small, the rest of the roof is in good shape, and the home has under 15 years on its current shingles, a spot repair is almost always the right call. If the shingles are curling across multiple slopes, the granules are mostly gone, and the roof is past 20 years, we will tell you that a replacement is the smarter long term spend. We do not push a tear off when a repair will hold.

The most common roof repairs in the Midwest are flashing fixes around chimneys, vents, and skylights, replacing shingles that wind has torn loose, and sealing valleys where snow and ice tend to back up. We also handle pipe boots, ridge cap replacement, and small areas of damaged decking. After 60+ years of roofing across the region, we know the spots that fail first and how to make a repair that actually lasts.

If your roof has a leak or some storm damage and you want a straight answer about whether it needs repair or replacement, get a free inspection. We will show you what we see.

Common Questions

Things Homeowners Ask About Roof Repair

Can you fix a small leak?

Yes. Small leaks are most of what we do on the repair side. We track the water back to its real source, which is often far from where the stain shows up inside. Then we fix the bad flashing, shingle, or seal that is letting water in.

How much does a roof repair cost?

Most small repairs run from a few hundred dollars to a couple thousand, depending on the work. A simple shingle swap is on the low end. Flashing rebuilds and valley repairs cost more. We give you a written estimate before any work starts.

Will a repair void my warranty?

No, as long as the repair is done right. We follow the shingle maker's specs so your manufacturer warranty stays good. Our own Lifetime Workmanship Warranty covers the work we do.

How long does a repair last?

A proper repair on a roof with good life left should last for the rest of the roof's normal lifespan. If the repair is on an older roof that is already failing in other spots, we will tell you that up front.

Can I repair just one section of the roof?

Yes. We do partial roof repairs all the time. We replace just the damaged area and blend the new shingles into the rest of the roof as best we can. Color matching gets harder on older roofs because the original shingles have faded.

Do I need to file an insurance claim for a small repair?

Often no. If the repair is small and below your deductible, paying out of pocket is usually the better move. If a hail or wind storm caused the damage and the cost runs higher, a claim makes more sense. We can help you decide.
